Q: Does DDM care for pets other than dogs?

A: Absolutely! We care for all types of animals. Just email us or give us a call!

Q: What are DDM's safety and security procedures?

A: Your pet's safety and security are our top priorities; our business depends upon maintaining your personal information confidential, your property secure, and your pets well-cared for & happy. That is why we have such a thorough client packet. The answers to our new client questions allow us to be prepared for every possible situation. We keep your keys organized with a secure filing system and your personal information under lock. No one but your dog walker or pet sitter will be allowed in your home in your absence unless previously authorized by you.

Q: Do I have to give you a copy of my keys for pet service?

A: To avoid any potential interruption in service, we advise that you furnish your walker/sitter an extra set of keys. That being said, we can accommodate any type of home access that you are comfortable with, i.e. keys left with building front desk or security. During service, one key will be with the sitter/walker, the other key will remain locked at the office. In the unlikely event of an emergency that has prevented the sitter from being able to provide service, the spare key at the office would be used to provide uninterrupted service.

Q: Do I need to have the initial consultation:

A: Yes, the initial consultation is mandatory! This is an important meeting where your pets will get to know their walker/sitter. We will get to know every detail about your pet in order to develop their customized pet care plan that fits your schedule and their needs. This meeting is also important because it's how we become familiar with the location of your pet's food, food habits, your pet's allergies, exercise preferences and other important details such as preferred walking routes, favorite toys & treats. You should expect the visit to take from 30 to 60 minutes.

Q: What does it mean that DDM is fully insured and bonded?

A: "Insured" means that Downtown Dogs Miami LLC. carries liability coverage for personal injuries and property damage.

"Bonding" means that Downtown Dogs Miami LLC. has completed a background check on each employee and has determined that the employee has no criminal charges pending or in the past.

Q: What if I have an emergency?

A: Email or call us at (305) 763-0988 right away. We will always try to accommodate you and your pet's needs, even with last-minute service. We will do our very best to provide that support during emergencies. Last minute pet sits (less than 24 hours) incur a small fee.
